Commercial property firm GVA has been appointed to help the Ebbsfleet Development Corporation (EDC) realise its ambitions for Ebbsfleet Central, a nine million sq ft mixed-use scheme which will act as the gateway to Ebbsfleet Garden City.
The Ebbsfleet Central area includes the enterprise zone site at Northfleet Rise.
The appointment as strategic commercial adviser, made at the beginning of the summer, will draw upon a range of GVA’s service areas, including strategic development consulting, investment partnerships, real estate finance and planning to expedite the construction of up to 2,500 homes, new commercial space and an area for residents and businesses in north Kent.
GVA will provide advice on shaping a delivery strategy and help EDC to work with the current public and private sector land owners.
Jerry Freeman, senior director and head of GVA’s London development consulting team who is leading the team, said: “GVA has a proven track record of not only shaping delivery and funding strategies for complex mixed use schemes but also seeing them delivered.

North Kent Enterprise Zone partners welcomed this news as lending further momentum to progress in the Garden City, and the Northfleet Rise site in particular.
