The site is expected to become a magnet for high value technology, engineering, manufacturing and knowledge intensive businesses and boasts excellent transport links, networking opportunities and the chance for businesses to grow.
Businesses located in Innovation Park Medway will be part of the North Kent Enterprise Zone business community and have access to world-class research and development, as well as highly skilled talent through the four Medway based universities and college. IPM also has the potential to offer state-of-the-art meeting and conference space and business facilities.
Businesses looking to relocate or expand at IPM will also benefit from a simplified planning process. Building will be able to begin once the infrastructure works have been completed, which are due to finish in 2022.
Businesses wishing to express an interest in locating to the site are encouraged to contact our marketing agents, Harrisons, by emailing ipm@harrisons.property.
Helping Medway’s businesses thrive
Leader of Medway Council, Cllr Alan Jarrett, said: “I am pleased that work has begun at Innovation Park Medway. Not only will our pioneering business park provide fantastic opportunities to help businesses grow but it will also provide the infrastructure they need to succeed. Medway is the biggest regeneration zone within the Thames Gateway and is one of the most promising growth areas in the south-east and I would encourage businesses to submit proposals for the site. IPM demonstrates our commitment to helping Medway’s businesses thrive and I look forward to watching the works progress.”
Supporting business growth, inward investment and local jobs
Simon Ryan, Investment Director, Locate in Kent, said: “Interest from companies looking to move or expand into Kent and Medway remains strong, largely because of the fantastic connectivity, competitive costs, wide skill base and exceptional quality of life. Innovation Park Medway will add to this offering with a unique business park that will support business growth, inward investment and local jobs.”
As part of the IPM enabling works Medway Council has carried out infrastructure improvements at Rochester Airport which includes building two new hangars, hangar five and the Medway Aircraft Preservation Society (MAPS) hangar, and refurbished hangars three and four at the site. A new control tower and hub building is also being created and the works are due to be completed later this year.
